We'll Even Tuck You In...

 

The Bed Store opened its doors in August of 1992 in a small West Knoxville location. Twenty-five years, 11 stores and over 150,000 tucked in customers later we still do the same thing we started out doing. Helping East Tennesseans find the perfect mattress for them and tucking them in. 

 

The Bed Store's owner and president Roger Cunningham had a vision for The Bed Store that was inspired by his grandmother. Granny Pearl ran a small motor court in South Florida. Each night she would go around to each room and check on her road-weary guests. She would bring them handmade soaps, warm cookies and milk and make sure that they were comfortable and taken care of for the evening.

 

This had a profound effect on Roger when he would spend time with her. This lead him to honor her process of "tucking" her guests in by opening The Bed Store and operating in a way that would make her proud. The Bed Store wants to make sure that all it's customers are comfortable and taken care of. That simple philosophy has helped propel The Bed Store to become the number one mattress shopping in retail for 5 years in a row as voted by East Tennessee in the Knoxville News Sentinel Readers poll.
