It's 4 am and you can't sleep. So what do you do? Get out of bed! "When you lie awake in bed, you send yourself the wrong message. "You're basically training your body not to sleep in bed, but to lie there and not sleep..." Laura McMullen U.S. News and Health

We've all been there, you awake in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep. Your mind races and no matter what you do you just can't drift back off to sleep. Some experts are now saying that when this happens to get out of bed. It may sound counter intuitive but when you lay in your bed awake you are in effect training your body to not sleep in bed. If you get up and move around a bit you will feel sleepy again and be able to fall asleep quickly instead of laying there staring up at the ceiling. Happy sleeping!
